CHANGES TO COMMUNITY POINTS from 10/2/11

As you know, we’re always striving to improve Swom and
make it the premier place for marketers to network.

So we’re making some changes to encourage higher quality
interaction between members and reduce spam.

From 10th Feb, 2011 (after commissions calculations):

- community points will no longer be given for simply
posting and commenting irrelevant content.

- Instead, a new ‘Like’ feature will been added.

- You may ‘Like’ up to 10 activities per day on your
newsfeed. The author of the content will receive community
points for each of your ‘Likes’.

- Get more ‘likes’ by posting quality content and engaging
in quality interaction with other members.

We hope that this change will encourage members to focus
on quality content and interaction, rather than posting large
amounts of irrelevant content to collect points as some
members have been doing in the past.

We anticipate that this will result in less community points
being given out, but that each community point will be
worth a lot more.

As this is a new feature, we’ll be keeping a close eye on it
and looking out for member feedback.

With all these great changes, it’s never been a better time
to upgrade to Gold membership. We’ll be calculating
commissions in just 2 days – you can grab your share and

With that being said I think this new policy may very well harm swom and it’s members to such a great extent that many gold members may drop out completely.  Time will only tell as it depends on how this new swom policy will affect us all!  One of the great things about swom is the fact that you CAN earn your membership fee back plus some even with no referrals.  To this author it seems this new swom point policy is very much swayed to the favor of swom itself and not the members!  We will see.  What will you do with your 10 “Likes” limit a day?  “Like” your friends comments or actual meaningful comments?

First of all, I know I haven`t been posting lately but there is a reason for it, I am preparing for a new launch – we combined Online Traffic Bible and some other resources to a referral program and 1×1 matrix where you will be paid 3 times/month for the same referral – daily, weekly and monthly. More about that very soon, maybe even tomorrow. As for Swom, I am really convinced that it is a great program and a greatest tool for getting referrals/downline for all your other programs. And they are getting better every day in my opinion. They removed 10% rule so right now it doesn`t matter how many of your referrals upgrade to GOLD, you will earn $15 FAST START BONUS and $5 RESIDUAL INCOME on each end every one.

Swom had:

- 27 MILLION page views in 45 days
- 10% conversion rate to Gold membership

Those are GREAT results. But that is not all. They are getting ready for finally launching the ‘Marketing University’ very shortly – where you can ask and share expert tips on how to promote opportunities. Swom changed their pay plan. I personally think this is a better way to calculate commissions as it gives a fair chance to both : people who are good at referring others and to those who don`t know how to recruit yet. You can earn money in 3 different ways: by recruiting, by connection with members and helping them understand Swom better and by participating in Swom community!  Here is how it all works:

Referral Bonuses

You receive $15 for every new personal referral that upgrades to Gold membership, paid in the first month after they upgrade.

But that’s not all! You continue to receive $5 every month from the second month onwards for each of your Gold referrals – every month – as long as they remain Gold!

Example 1:
If you refer 10 gold members you will receive:

* 10 x $15.00 = $150.00 first month
* 10 x $5.00 = $50.00 every month thereafter*

Example 2:
If you refer 100 gold members you will receive:

* 100 x $15.00 = $1500.00 first month
* 100 x $5.00 = $500.00 every month thereafter*

* Qualification: Refer 10% new gold members to qualify. No requirements for first $25.

Tip: It’s a good idea to introduce yourself to each of your referrals. People are more likely to upgrade if they feel they have the support of their referrer (You).

‘Gold Evangelist’ Bonus Pool

Are you feeling evangelical about Swom Gold?

This is the perfect reward for those that love to connect with free members and help them see the light of Swom Gold membership! A whopping 20% of company-wide Gold membership commissions are paid into this bonus!

Here’s how it works – You may connect with new or existing free members and help them upgrade to Gold membership. To qualify you must send each of them at least one personal wall post message (not email) to help them upgrade to Gold. You message must be helpful and you must take care not to spam. Your message may contain your testimonial on Swom, its benefits or just a friendly offer to help them use Swom – it must contain the word ‘Gold’ and must not contain any other links/URL.

For every member that subsequently upgrades within 30 days of your message, you will automatically receive 10 shares in the ‘Gold Evangelist’ Bonus Pool!

This bonus pool will pay out along with other commissions on or around the 10th of each month. The value of each share will depend on number of Gold members company-wide and number of shares issued during that month. We provide a running estimate as a guide only but the final value will depend on the above.

The more Gold members there are, the more each share is likely to be worth! There are no limits on how many shares you can have. The more you help members upgrade, the more you earn!

Community Participation Bonus

Swom’s unique Community Participation Bonus pays an extraordinary 50% of company-wide Gold membership commissions into this bonus! This means that you can earn commissions month after month just for participating in what you love – the Swom social network!
What are Community Points?

To earn shares in the Community Participation Bonus Pool, you need community points. Community points are a rough measurement of how much contribution you have made towards the Swom community.

To gain community points, make new connections and interact positively with other Swom members. Have fun! Some actions will earn you community points, while others will allow you to ‘spend’ them:
make a new connection     +1
post a status update or wall message     +1
post a comment or reply     +1
refer a new member     +1
post a testimonial (if accepted)     +50
win community chest (you get a small chance of this every time you do any of the above)  -  between 5 – 100
post a message with a link/URL in it  -  Spend 5 points

You can earn a maximum of 200 community points per day (community chests are immune to this limit). Also, there are sometimes special competitions which will allow you to earn more.

On or around the 10th of each month, we add up the total number of community points earned by Gold members during that month. The amount that you earn depends on how many points you have and the size of the bonus pool. The more community points you have, the bigger apportion of the bonus pool you will get!

Tip: Your Community Score appears on your public profile and is a measure of your contribution to the Swom community. Having a higher score will give you better reputation within the Swom community.

How can I increase my commissions?

It’s easy to earn while having fun on Swom! Here’s what you can do to increase your monthly earnings:

Step 1: Promote Swom on the internet

The best way is to refer new members to Swom and help them upgrade to Gold. You will receive $15 in the first month for every Gold member and receive $5 every month thereafter – forever! As long as someone signs up using your referral link it does not matter whether they upgrade straight away or after six months – you will still get the instant and the ongoing referral bonuses each month.

Step 2: Connect with existing Free members

Another great way is to connect with existing free members on Swom – Explain to them the benefits of Gold membership and help them upgrade. You can then earn shares in the ‘Gold Evangelist’ Bonus Pool which can be lucrative!
Step 3: Participate in groups and conversations – but don’t Spam!

Swom is all about social networking. Connect with people, make lasting relationships and enjoy your time at Swom! I just received my first payment from Swom in my Alert Pay Account. I have to admit that I did not advertise Swom so much last couple of days because I wanted to make sure that they really pay. “Guys I just came across your post – we’re working flat out to keep the servers up so neglected to keep our members informed – big mistake!! Sorry lesson learnt but please stop speculating that we’re doing a runner… far from it!! The programming of this site alone runs into the tens of thousands of dollars… we’re not going to run off after 2 weeks of HUGE AMAZING growth ”

OK GUYS, I think it is time to give them a real chance, if they wanted to run off with our money they would do that by now. At this moment I would advise to upgrade to GOLD. They are answering support tickets as of yesterday!!! They were swamped and that is why they did not contact members!!! I think Swom could be the BIGGEST  opportunity out there. Anyways if I am wrong, it is  $25 I lost. But if I am right, I was in profit 2 days after I upgraded!!!
