Marketing/Advertising is the tricky part of Internet Marketing. You need traffic to your website in order to get sales, referrals or leads. More importantly, you need targeted traffic. Targeted traffic you generate is in direct proportion to your income. Without online traffic, you will never make a dime online. Period. In here I will use parts of my traffic guide and I will try to explain a little about each and every traffic source that I am using. I will also post couple of places for each source so you can begin your online venture.

Article and Ezine Sites

Write original unique articles about your site (Swom in this case) and submit them to article/ezine directories. Some of them will allow you to post your links in the body of the article, and some of them wont. But all of them will allow you to post your signature link in the about the author box. If you write an interesting article, reader will want to know more about the subject and will click on your signature link – that will take him straight to your site. This is why you need to write ORIGINAL, UNIQUE article. If you just copy an article that has already been published and indexed by search engines, your article will not get picked up and you will be wasting your time. Important thing about articles is choosing the right keywords -  those are the ones you want to get ranked for (if you are writing an article about  Swom good keywords/ tags would be everything that is closely related to Swom:  swom, swom scam, swom review, social network for internet marketers, super word of mouth, is swom a scam…. you got the idea. Write at least one article/day and submit it to different article directory. Over 230 listed in Online Traffic Bible  with embedded links and  I will give you the names of 10 directories here.

Audio Marketing

Audio podcasting has its place in the world of the internet and  it should have its place in your marketing strategy.  Audio podcasts are audio files that can be heard on a computer or transferred to another player like an mp3 player or other listening device. This is a great place to get your message out, display great content, and – send people to your website! People are listening to podcasts and you can get in on it as part of your strategy to send traffic to your site. Attract real people and attract the search engines.  Make sure to tag your podcasts with your important keywords to keep people and crawlers properly directed.  Then you can send them to a landing page especially made to address the concerns and interests of your target audience. Free Banner Exchange helps you promote your website. When you join banner exchange you upload your banner and it will be displayed across network of other sites by members just like you. Blogs and Blog Commenting

Blog commenting can be an extremely powerful technique for building traffic to your website.  The way to do it is to comment on somebodies blog and leave a signature link. Unfortunately, most bloggers underestimate the value of blog commenting. Not only can commenting bring you lots of extra exposure it’s also an excellent way to start building relationships with other bloggers.  These relationships can lead to guest posting opportunities, backlinks, interviews, and more.  In order to optimize your comments for the most traffic, you’ll want to make sure that you’re one of the first to comment. The earlier you comment, the more exposure you’re going to get because your comment will be at the top of the page. And, as always, make sure that your comment provides tremendous value. You want your comment to stand out from the others. You do this by providing indepth, insightful comments that ADD to the conversation. PPC – Is a term used to abbreviate Pay Per Click engines/providers.  These PPC’s allow you to pay a certain price in order to capture visitors by placing an ad on them. A press release is pseudo-news story, written in third person, that seeks to demonstrate to an editor or reporter the newsworthiness of a particular person, event, service or product. Communicate the 5 W’s and the H. Who, what, when, where, why, and how. Then consider the points below if pertinent. After the title, use a paragraph or two to describe your company with 5/6 lines each. The text must describe your company, its core business and the business policy. Many businesses already have a professionally written brochures, presentations, business plans, etc. – that introductory text can be put here. At the end of this section, point to your website. RSS feeds

RSS, or Really Simple Syndication syndicates your web content to other sites and builds inbound links, making RSS one of the most effective SEO strategies today. RSS is fast becoming a mainstream application. Adoption is rocketing and sites using RSS report excellent results: an increase in search ranking, more qualified traffic on the site and even increased sales. RSS is not just for blogs – you can syndicate your website content: news headlines, product news, tech updates, specials, clearance items, upcoming events, new stock arrivals, new articles, new tools and resources, search results, a book’s revision history, recipies and tips.
You can get extra placements in the search engines by having your content on many other sites as articles, press releases, tips or news items.

Safelists

A safelist is a mailing list that is geared towards advertising web sites, business opportunities, and so forth. Opt in email safe lists can be one of the best online marketing strategies for getting your website immediately in front of possibly thousands of people. A safe list is a list of email Addresses of people who have joined and agreed to receive email from other members of that list. You can also send email to other members of that list. Messages sent to a safe list are not considered Spam because the members on the list have agreed to receive email from the other members. Whenever you sign up on a Safelist, you will receive a certain number of credits. Usually you need 1 credit to send e-mail to 1 person. More credits you have, more people you can mail to. You can gain credits by clicking on the link at the bottom of the e-mail the safelist sends you (where it says: Click here in order to earn credits). SOLO ADS usually give you bigger number of credits.

Getting the most out of safelists: 

1. Choose your lists carefully, the more targeted the list the more response you will have. If you Ad involve network marketing, then look for lists with that subject.

2. Your headline is very important and if you do not stand out and capture the readers attention then they will move on. 

3. You must follow up! It usually takes someone up to 7  times of viewing your Ad before they respond. Follow up with interested people often and increase your chances of success. 

4. Track your Ads so you know which ones are working and which headlines pull the best. After one
month if a safe list is not working for you then un-subscribe! 

5. If a free safe list is working for you then pay the monthly fee so you can send your Ad to the list more often. Free safe lists only allow you to send your Ad once a week. 

6. Join more than several safe lists. Paid safe lists are usually of higher quality then the free ones. Just remember to test which ones have the best response and get rid of the ones that are wasting your time. 

7. Since there are so many lists out there find out how any members they have so that you can determine whether or not it is worth joining. The member count is usually displayed on the home page of the safe list.

8. Important! Make sure you subscribe to safe lists using an email Address that can handle getting a lot of email (gmail), do not use your regular email Address! 

Advertising with Safelists is only one tool in your marketing arsenal. It can help you determine whether your Ads are working. Then you can explode your business by utilizing these successful Ads with the rest of your marketing campaign!

This should be a base for your advertising and marketing. I gave you the tools, all you have to do is use them.  Internet marketing is a numbers game. The more you post your link, the more exposure you will get. It can be a little overwhelming , but once you make your  business plan, stick to it no matter what. Try to work at least one hour a day (I recommend 3) and the results will follow.  Organize your days ahead and it will be much easier. For example:  on Mondays post to safelists. On Tuesdays write 5 articles and post them, on Wednesdays  do the social bookmarking ….and so on…. You will get the routine after first month and it will get easier. The important thing is to have a goal and not to promote others. You need to advertise YOURSELF and only yourself (your blog/website or your personal landing page).  Build the relationship with your readers, don`t you just send them your offers.
